My mother in law gifted me with the most AMAZING bouquet from Backyard Blooms for my birthday!!! I worry a lot about the environmental impact of cut flowers (carbon footprint, pollution, land degradation, impact on communities) so we try very diligently to only buy local flowers (or grow our own). What a delight to receive these flowers grown in the florist’s own backyard here in CT!! I especially love that the blooms are hyper-seasonal—the forsythia and hellebore and apple blossoms are really only here for a couple weeks and to see them used in a stunning arrangement is magical! I love that there is no floral foam used in the arrangement and the shape and design are extraordinary. THANK YOU for the most beautiful birthday gift!!

I had a casual, intimate backyard wedding and wanted a few arrangements and a bucket of blooms to DIY centerpieces. Janet was a pleasure to work with; she asked for my preferences for colors and flowers and I shared some inspiration pictures. She created absolutely stunning arrangements that my guests and I all loved! The DIY bucket was full of special blooms including ranunculus, tulips, and poppies and it made arranging centerpieces so easy because everything was fresh and beautiful. These were truly the unique, slightly wild looking flowers that I had hoped for!

We had an incredible experience with Janet at Backyard Blooms! We wanted to DIY our table florals, so were looking for someone in CT who could supply buckets of flowers for us to use. From the first time I reached out to Janet, she was so helpful and truly seemed excited to work with us. I sent her several Pinterest boards/inspiration photos to show the look I was going for, then Janet was very patient and helpful in explaining what flowers were in season for our September wedding to match our vision. When we picked the flowers up a few days before our wedding, we were shocked by how beautiful they were - Janet's creativity was so fun to work with! I highly recommend working with Backyard Blooms!
